About

Family Tree is a private space for each Apps Hub profile to build and explore family trees. Connect parents and children on a richly styled, movable canvas, open each person's story and record birth and death years or exact dates. Track multiple partners, spouses and former relationships without requiring marriage, and identify fathers, mothers, sons and daughters from the recorded sex. Optional Apps Hub profile links identify family members without granting tree access. Share individual trees with viewers, editors or administrators. Editors submit changes for review; the owner or an administrator compares the before and after versions and approves or rejects them. Administrators can edit, review, share and delete the entire tree, while the owner's role remains protected. Concurrent edits and invalid ancestry links are checked on the server.

  • Blue and pink person cards, Back navigation through relatives, current age or age at death, and birth-date age comparisons with clearly marked approximate values.
  • Live references to existing people from owned or shared trees, cross-tree parents and partners, and filtered side-by-side views with one card per shared person and independent permissions.

Family statistics and rankings

Compare the oldest and youngest living people, longest lives, largest families and recorded partnerships. Review averages, age groups, birth decades and data completeness for one tree or all accessible trees. Linked people are counted once and private tree access is enforced. Includes recorded current and former marriages, living people with or without a recorded current marriage, adopted children and adoptive parents. Adoptive children remain included in family-size rankings, while adoptive relationships are excluded from parental age at childbirth.

Browse the next 30 days, 90 days or 12 months using known exact birth dates. See upcoming ages and open the original person record. February 29 birthdays are observed on February 28 in non-leap years for this calendar.
