Game Hub

About

Game Hub is the account and statistics layer the mvmOS games share. Players get a profile with a display name, a colour and an avatar they build in the app, and from then on every game they play is recorded against it. It keeps sessions, scores, durations and winners, and turns them into statistics: every game declares what it measures, and Game Hub draws boards, charts, ratings and records for it, separately for solo and multiplayer, plus an overall ranking across all games and head-to-head records between two players. Favourites let you keep the people you play with to hand, which is also where multiplayer invitations come from. Game Hub has its own public page, so players can check the standings without a desktop account. The page is translated into all nine of mvmOS's languages and follows the language chosen on the Apps Hub account, so a player sees it in their own language from the first screen.

• Separate solo and multiplayer views, with an Elo rating for multiplayer.
• Overall ranking across all games, with points for how far up each game's ladder a player stands.
• A Store inside Game Hub, like the one in Apps Hub: every profile chooses which games appear on its own page, with categories and search, and nothing is deleted when a game is removed.
• Your games can be filtered by category and sorted A–Z, most played or recently played.
• Profile with real totals from your whole history: overall place and points, solo and multiplayer games, multiplayer wins and win rate, and a table by game.
• Player against player: head-to-head record with a verdict, recent form and streaks, the chance of winning the next game, a per-game breakdown and a side-by-side comparison of every number with a rating chart. The game history loads only when you open it.
• Games with their own picture icon show it in the library, game pages, history and statistics, with emoji for games that do not declare a picture.
