About

mvmCrypto is a seed phrase vault and a portfolio tracker for your mvmOS account. Every Apps Hub profile gets its own vault, so multiple people using the same machine never see one another's wallets. Each seed phrase is protected by two separate passwords. Your master password unlocks the vault and shows your saved labels; each seed phrase also has its own password, and revealing it needs both. This means changing your master password later never forces you to re-enter every entry's password, and no single password on its own can expose a phrase. Encryption happens entirely in the browser — the server only ever stores opaque salts, IVs and ciphertexts, never a password, a key or a readable seed phrase. A seed phrase can be shared with another Apps Hub account as a one-time secure transfer, addressed to someone already in your favourites. The recipient decrypts it with a password you already share and receives their own fully independent, dual-protected copy — there is no standing access one password alone can reopen later. Editing a shared entry re-sends a fresh transfer to everyone it was shared with; stopping the share deletes their copy outright. Portfolio tracks addresses across seven networks — Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Litecoin, Dogecoin and TRON — plus ERC-20-family tokens on the EVM ones. Address, label, network and the last known balance are encrypted the same way as a seed phrase; refreshing a balance calls each network's public API straight from your own browser, not from the server, so a lookup never reveals your holdings to mvmOS itself. A built-in Bitcoin explorer looks up any address or transaction, saved to your portfolio or not. With a subscription, custom assets track anything outside the seven supported networks — gold, a flat, a business, savings held elsewhere — as a running ledger of transactions rather than one number you overwrite, sitting in the same portfolio list and counting toward the same total.

Custom assets

Create an asset for anything that isn't a supported network — gold, a flat, a business, savings held elsewhere — and log its value as a running ledger of signed dollar amounts instead of one number you overwrite. Every deposit or withdrawal is its own transaction, each one editable or removable later, and the asset's balance is always the sum of its history. It shows up in the same Portfolio list and counts toward the same total, right alongside Bitcoin and every other network.
