About
Nostradamus connects you to the Nostr network without leaving mvmOS. Manage your relays, read your feed, and publish notes and replies from a private key that never leaves your browser unencrypted. Your Nostr identity (nsec) is protected the same way mvmPasswords protects your vault: a master password derives an AES-256-GCM key locally, and the server only ever stores an opaque encrypted blob plus a non-secret salt. This means the same identity works seamlessly on desktop and mobile, without relying on a browser extension that mobile browsers don't support. Nostradamus also runs as a public page, so any Apps Hub account holder can read and publish to Nostr through their own encrypted vault, independent of the mvmOS desktop. This is a first version focused on the essentials: relay management, profile settings, a feed, and publishing notes and replies. Follows, reactions, and zaps are planned for future releases.
What it does
- Manage your relay list with per-relay read/write control and live connection status
- View and edit your Nostr profile (display name, about, picture)
- Read a feed of notes from the people you follow, merged and de-duplicated across relays
- Publish notes directly to your write relays
- Reply to notes with proper threading (NIP-10)
- Follow and unfollow other Nostr accounts
- End-to-end encrypted key vault — your private key is encrypted in the browser before it ever reaches the server
- Works identically on the mvmOS desktop and on a public page for any Apps Hub account
