About
RSS Reader subscribes to RSS and Atom feeds and fetches them in the background on an interval you choose, from every five minutes to once a day. Articles are tracked read and unread, filterable by feed and by status, and open in a clean reader view with a link back to the original. With the Premium DeepL integration turned on, every article gets a one-click Translate button, powered by the free DeepL Translator app. Each reader enters their own DeepL API key there, so translation always uses that reader's own quota rather than a single shared server key. Your reading list can also be published as a public page.
What it does
- Subscribe to any RSS or Atom feed.
- Background fetching every 5 minutes to 24 hours, run by the mvmOS scheduler.
- Read/unread tracking, mark all read, and filtering by feed or status.
- Reader view with a link to the original article.
- Premium: one-click DeepL translate button on every article, using each reader's own DeepL API key.
- Per-feed fetch status and last-fetched time, with errors surfaced.
- Optional public reading list with its own URL.
- Full translations of the app and its public reading list in all nine supported languages.
Integrations
The Translate button sends the article to the free DeepL Translator app, using the DeepL API key that reader entered there themselves — never a key shared across the whole server. Turning the integration off in Settings removes the button; the reader works exactly as before.
Requires: Premium, and the free DeepL Translator app with each reader's own DeepL API key.
