About
Rules that say when something runs, what has to be true and what to do. When water is logged in Hydration or a task is completed in Tasks, or every day at a chosen time, a rule can check numbers the app reports or values the event carried, then call the app's own functions or send you a notification. Apps do not have to be written for it: every installed app that offers functions to Apps Hub works with it.
What it does
- Build a rule in three steps: When, an optional Only if, and Then, with the chosen app's own functions listed first.
- Start a rule from something that happens in an app or once a day at a chosen time, whether the change was made in the app's window, on its public page or through the External APIs.
- Conditions on numbers the app reports right now or on values the event carried, with all or any of them required.
- Fields that point to something of yours, such as a Budget category or a task, are chosen from a list of your own items.
- Send yourself a notification, optionally limited to once a day, with the rule's name and today's date filled in.
- A switch, Run now and a journal for every rule that shows what was done or why it stopped.
- Rules run as the Apps Hub profile that owns them, never start each other and run at most 30 times an hour.
- An optional public page that the administrator switches on in Apps Hub.
