About
A shelf for text, screenshots, photos and files that follows you between devices. Put something on it from a phone and pick it up on the computer, or drop a screenshot on the desktop and point a terminal at it. Everything stays on your own installation.
What it does
- Press Ctrl+V anywhere on the desktop, drag files onto the screen, or use Paste to mvmOS Clipboard in the right-click menu.
- A public page for phones, with a camera button that opens the camera directly. It stays off until the administrator switches it on in Apps Hub.
- Copy an item back to the system clipboard, download it, pin it or delete it; on the desktop, copy a file's server path for use in a terminal.
- Items expire after 24 hours unless pinned. Files up to 50 MB, with per-owner limits that refuse a new item instead of deleting older ones.
- Items belong to a desktop account or an Apps Hub profile, and the public page only ever shows the signed-in profile's own items.
- Stored files are never run by the browser: strict content policy, no content-type guessing, and only common raster images shown inline.
