Sudoku Arrives
Sudoku joins mvmOS as a new number puzzle for Game Hub, for one to six players. Fill the grid so that every row, column and 3x3 box holds the numbers 1 to 9, in five difficulty levels with no time limit, alone or in a race with friends on the same puzzle.
Sudoku 1.0.0
Every puzzle is made for the game and has exactly one solution. The server keeps the solution and checks every number, so nobody can send a made-up result.
• Five levels, Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert and Master. The easier ones can be solved by logic alone, while Expert and Master make you look further ahead.
• A clear, colourful board for a computer and a phone, with highlights for the row, column, box and every matching number, a number pad that shows how many of each are left, and a ripple when a row, column or box is complete.
• Pencil notes that clear themselves as numbers are placed, undo, erase, and keyboard control with the number keys, the arrows, N for notes and H for a hint.
Points without pressure
There is no time limit and time never ends the game, but the clock slowly costs points, one every 10 seconds on Easy and one every 30 on Master, and the time is kept for your statistics.
• Every correct number scores points, from 10 on Easy up to 18 on Master, and a puzzle solved with no mistakes and no hints adds a bonus.
• A mistake costs twice a cell's points, so guessing does not pay.
• A hint fills in one cell and earns nothing for it. It costs the points of two cells plus a few more for every cell already filled in, so it is dearer the further you are.
Alone or with friends
Play one puzzle alone and your score is recorded in Game Hub when you solve it, while Save and exit keeps the exact position with your notes. With friends, everybody solves the same puzzle at their own pace on computers, phones and tablets in a web browser, the host chooses the level, and when everyone has finished the most points win. A player who has finished can watch the other boards fill in, or leave, because the result is already recorded.
For your mvmOS server
Requires mvmOS 1.16.0 and Game Hub 1.18.0 or newer. The desktop launcher offers to install Game Hub when it is missing. mvmOS is installed on a Linux server; using the game requires access to such a server. Its phone browser view is not a standalone phone app. The game includes all nine mvmOS interface languages.
