Meet mvmAudio
mvmAudio 1.0.0 brings music, audiobook shelves and online radio to your mvmOS installation. Listen from the desktop or an Apps Hub browser page, with your own progress and playlists.
A library for different kinds of listening
• Browse music, audiobooks and HTTPS radio stations with search and genre filters.
• Keep ordered audiobook chapters, playback speed, completion, favourites and bookmarks separately for every listener.
• Use the queue, shuffle, repeat and sleep timer, and share personal playlists with selected Apps Hub profiles.
Add files first, refine details afterwards
Administrators can import a batch of audio files into the common library. Embedded tags and artwork supply initial details; filenames provide a starting point when tags are missing. Audiobooks can be separate titles or ordered chapters of one book. Successful files remain saved when another file fails.
Optional searches send detected titles and creators to music or book catalogues, not the audio itself. Review a match and choose the fields to apply. Manual editing, cover upload and translated title variants remain available without catalogue access. Audio inspection is bundled with the app and does not require FFmpeg or another server package.
Listening statistics
Desktop administrators can inspect the common audiobook library by book or reader, see saved progress and choose a reader group for each title. A completed group makes a book eligible for manual review; it never causes automatic deletion. Progress represents saved position, not measured listening time, and personal uploads are excluded from these common-library reports.
Personal libraries
Optional Premium lets the administrator enable personal uploads with a storage allowance for each Apps Hub profile. The default allowance is zero. Disabling new uploads preserves existing audio and listening state.
mvmAudio runs on a Linux server with mvmOS installed. Playback format support and Media Session controls depend on the browser and device.
