Share, Create and Listen
Connect folders across your mvmOS servers, organize ongoing work with mvmAgent, and take control of what plays next in mvmAudio. This release brings Core 1.18.0, mvmAI 0.19.0 and mvmAudio 1.1.0.
Core 1.18.0: shared folders
Right-click a local folder in File Manager to create a private invitation for another mvmOS server. On the receiving server, open Shared folders and connect it with the invitation. Both installations need Core 1.18.0 or newer.
• Choose separate permissions for opening and downloading, uploading and creating folders, renaming, and deleting. Browsing file names is always allowed.
• Open connected folders in the same File Manager window, with breadcrumbs, sorting, filtering and navigation history. Preview supported pictures, audio, video and small text files.
• Copy files and whole folder trees between local and remote storage or between connected folders. Transfers show progress and can be cancelled; Cut removes the source only after the whole copy succeeds. Existing destination names are refused.
• Revoke a grant at the source whenever access should end. Connections belong to the receiving Linux account across browsers.
Files travel between your browser and the server storing them. Copies between local and remote storage use both servers’ traffic. These are virtual File Manager locations, not Linux mounts; existing app file pickers do not automatically accept them. Remote deletion is permanent, and completed destination files may remain after a cancelled transfer.
mvmAI 0.19.0: mvmAgent project workspaces
Administrators can enable the optional mvmAgent feature in mvmAI settings. Each project workspace has one conversation, an overview, tasks, persistent knowledge and resource descriptions. Ordinary chats and their drafts remain available when you switch modes.
• Let the agent inspect selected server resources and present project choices as forms, tables and notes.
• Turn repeated work into versioned Python tools with reusable forms for both the administrator and the agent. New versions start as drafts and require explicit activation.
• Review exact tool invocations before they run. Execution requires a successful preview with the same version and inputs. Saved operations run without another AI request.
• Keep earlier standalone agent tasks under Previous tasks. Long executions can renew internal context using project records and checkpoints.
This initial implementation is an optional Premium feature, disabled by default and limited to administrators. Activated code runs with the approved server account; previews are a program contract, not a Python sandbox. An encrypted account vault, universal browser login and scheduled project monitoring are not included.
mvmAudio 1.1.0: a clearer listening queue
Start or pause from a library cover, or tap the current title or artwork to open the expanded player. Opening audiobook details leaves existing playback untouched.
• See Now playing, Up next and Played earlier as separate queue groups.
• Play a title next, add it at the end, move upcoming titles up or down, remove them or clear Up next.
• Follow the visible shuffled order, restore the original order of retained titles when shuffle is disabled, and choose Play all or Shuffle for a playlist.
• Stop playback to save progress, clear the active queue and hide the player. The player stays hidden until a title is loaded.
The new controls are available on desktop and phone views, with translations in all nine mvmOS interface languages.
