mvmOS 1.1.0: more private statistics and a refresh of every Store app
mvmOS 1.1.0 makes anonymous usage statistics simpler and more private. The Setup Wizard now asks the question directly, shows a recommended answer without preselecting it, and waits for a real choice. When statistics are enabled, a report carries only five values: a random identifier created solely for these reports and never linked to a licence, the mvmOS version, the interface language, the Linux distribution and the processor architecture. Licence state, installed app counts and Python versions are no longer sent. After a core update, Premium features refresh automatically so they always match the installed version.
All 39 Store apps received a new version that declares mvmOS 1.0.0 as their minimum core, so every installation knows exactly what each app needs. Budget 1.6.0 lets you click any column of the statistics chart to focus on that day, week, month or year. Git Manager 1.5.0 adds favourite repositories, a choice of where a new branch starts, commit and push in one step and suggested commit messages. Nostradamus 1.2.1 places new posts at the top without moving what you are reading, and DeepL Translator 1.0.1 improves its dialogs in the dark theme. Store packages are now also checked automatically so that no runtime data from a publishing installation can ever be shipped. The updates are available through the Store.
